CROSS-BOUNDARY EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCE IN “GREEN” AGRICULTURE

“Green agriculture without borders” is the name of the project, which has become an absolute reality in the present conditions. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, partners from Latvia and Lithuania were unable to come to Belarus to the farm businesses in Belarus that produce “green” products. Also, the international fair of farmers from partner countries, which was planned to be held simultaneously with this visit, did not take place. That is why, a cross-boundary meeting on the exchange of experience among farmers from Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus was held on December 10, 2020. Communication took place in the online format.
In the first part of the forum, food producers from Belarus shared their experience: Khvashchevsky Igor, Elena and Olga, who develop the private subsidiary farm “Khvashchevsky”, farm business “Vermi Ecoprodukt” (Grodno oblast) and Grudinin Evgeny and Yulia, producers of beekeeping products of the private subsidiary farm “Grudinin Family Apiary”, “Medoslav” Cooperative (Minsk oblast).
In the second part of the online forum, 10 owners of farm businesses and private subsidiary farms were able to present their experience in manufacturing various types of products based on the principles of organic or “green” agricultural production, ask questions, and get acquainted with various areas of rural business of their neighbors in partner countries of the project, exchange contacts.
